About My Life’s Work

“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”–Aristotle.

Janine Feldman MA in Industrial Psychology (UNISA)

About meI am an Industrial Psychologist with 25 years of experience in the Human Resources field and a MA in Industrial Psychology (UNISA). My strengths lie in psychometric assessments, report writing and counselling. I have a passion for seeing young people reach their potentials and I believe that self-insight is key to becoming the best version of yourself that you can be.
Self-Awareness is a key aspect to becoming emotionally intelligent. Knowing who you are, what your interests are, and what you’re capable of will stand you in good stead to carve a path ahead for yourself, and we can work together to achieve that.
MyLifesWork is a culmination of my experience in counselling and guidance, and I would like to work with you to identify a career path where you will flourish.
Subject Choice CounsellingChoosing specific subjects at school can cause anxiety. One must remember that whilst you are not necessarily choosing your career ahead, you are choosing subjects that will give you options, play to your strengths, align with your future career aspirations as they stand, and provide you with enjoyment and keep your interest. Subject choice counselling helps you identify these interests, and we uncover your personality type and cognitive ability, so that you can make the best informed decision when you choose your subjects for your final school years.
Career Guidance CounsellingThe last year or two of your school career proves to be quite daunting at times. Aside from the workload, you suddenly begin to experience other factors pulling you in all directions. You suddenly realise that you have to ask yourself some tough questions:
Do I wish to study further?
What do I want to study?
Where will I go?
Can I see myself in this career?

Should I consider marketability or suitability?
Although you need to answer these questions by the time you leave school, you don’t have to have your life planned out to a T.
Career guidance can help you narrow your options and ideas so that you feel that you have made the best decision by the time you leave school.
